Where in the World is BTFM?
It’s been awfully quiet here at the pond. What has the Big Tough Frog Man been up to? Well, let us start from today and work our way back. So pull up a chair by the fire, make yourself a cup of tea, listen closely and i’ll tell you a tale!
The Magic Half-Pipe of Peaks Island
I’ve found myself up in Maine again and am back on the grind, building trails during the work week and researching crypto (more on that later) and drinking twisted teas hiding from the sun on my weekends. Here are some shots of two staircases I build on our projects.
With the Delta variant becoming more and more of an issue this is likely to change but so far this summer I’ve gotten out wandering a bit down to NYC and out and about it Maine, often with my good friend Nate (follow for sick skate vids).
Do a friggin trick!
Right after the last time y’all heard from me, Nate and I hiked the Benton Mackaye Trail (BMT). A 287 mile trail that goes from Springer Mountain, through North Georgia, Eastern Tennessee, and Western North Carolina. It was amazing and has re-invigorated my desire to do the Appalachian Trail; likely starting Spring 2022. Words cannot describe the feeling of being on a journey like the BMT or at least mine can’t; so go read The Hobbit.
Last Day on the BMT, hiking out of the Smokies!
Right as the summer grind at work has started to feel like a slog and I’m thirsting for cooler temps and color change in the trees; the crypto market has begun to pick up. So thats pretty exciting but I’m still waiting for my lambo and my ticket to the moon! Till then I’ll be drinking PBR’s at Pushaw’s Convenience, where the decor is impeccable, instead of Champagne on my spaceship.
In other news crypto related; back in the Spring I released my first 9 pieces on the Ethereum Mainnet from #Analog Selfie Project on OpenSea. I was still a complete crypto noob (still kinda am) and didn’t realize how expensive minting fees would become. During the crypto crab season these went down but that was transitory and they are once again ridiculously high. It just doesn’t make sense for myself or anyone interested in acquiring a piece to pay as much or often far more on gas than they would on part of the collection. So i didn’t put anymore up for awhile. I’m an artist intermittently on the side of the rest of life and frankly am bad with consistency on social media so I made no announcement on this. With that said, expect to hear within the week what blockchain and platform I will be migrating the project to. Excited to get the ball rolling again! Until then, Happy Trails out there!
